That’s right I am back blogging again. For those of you who missed me thanks, for those of you who didn’t well I guess its ok. For those of you that don’t know in May I graduated from Great Lakes Christian College. The last few months were tuff and kept me from writing about bass fishing. After graduation I needed a month to just sit back and chill out for a little while.
Well now I am back and ready to move forward. So I want to talk about a few things that have happened in the time I have been away.
I have to say I am really surprised by the standings for the Elite Series. The one and only KVD is 12th, and there are a lot of guys buying for AOY who are not normally. It’s great for the sport just unusual to see.
Cheating in Tournaments
A month or so ago there was a big to do about a guy cheating in a BFL event. Each year there is some story about an angler caught cheating in a tournament. I am sick of it, it needs to stop. So here is what I propose. If an angler is caught cheating he is not allowed to fish in any (I don’t care how small) tournament. Also they should not be allowed to even get a fishing license. Finally we make them wear a big red C on their clothing for CHEATER! Ok the last part was over the top.
Shout out to Brandon P.
I want to congratulate Brandon Palaniuk on his win on Bull Shoals. I have had the chance to talk with him about articles in the past and he is a great guy. I am sure this is one of many wins to come.
I am still not sure how I feel about the technique of long lining that Jeremy Starks used to win on Douglas Lake. I think it is cool and it makes sense if you need to get a crankbait deep. I get that it is within the B.A.S.S. rules, but it just doesn’t seem right.
I will have some great product reviews coming soon. I will be reviewing some reels from Abu Garcia, a Rick Clunn rod from Wright & McGill. I have some great lures as well.
So keep reading in the future.
